#Dota2 night in America!
A user experience effort lead by Microsoft has now been embraced by the greater #UI design community. Designers throughout the technology space are flattening their UI designs to create a more “digital first” look and feel. While Microsoft may have lead the way on this design shift, I’m very curious to see how new UI designers embrace and enhance the experience of a Flat UI (namely the iOS 7 rumors).
Eric Whitacre is one of the most exciting choral composers to come out of American Music in a long time. His innovative ways of working with harmonies, rhythms and instrumentation have created some very well loved songs. Here we try our hand at ‘Lux Aurumque” for TTBB - the same piece used for the first Virtual Choir (google it, worth your time). We hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we did singing it!
Check out my choir @Illumni and our recording of ‘O Magnum Mysterium’ from our concert this past weekend.
“ The foreign community has grown to enjoy the high quality production that is the GSL and adapted to watching alien personalities so long as they are commentated by lovable and intelligent foreigners. - PiG ”
@x5_PiG wrote a great little post summarizing of the state of the foreigner SC2 scene on Team Liquid. I’m not going to lie, this is pretty astute summation of my feelings on the matter as well. We’re seeing things like this Starcraft Star Spangled Banner which shows, in a not-so-subtle way, how the NA scene is responding to having zero regional representation in what is considered the highest competitive tournament for Starcraft 2. The WCS which was to be the savior of the foreigner scene could very well be the catalyst to it’s demise.
PiG says foreigners need to “Step up” and “…it’s now time to eat and breathe Starcraft, and if I have to starve, then so be it.”
I’m wondering, along with other NA esports fans today, how many of our heroes will end up starving out of esports?
